Beach/town:	Extension of Playa Tamarindo to the south. Small beach community with a mix of high end hotels, luxury beach rentals, condos and some smaller cabinas. Rocky waters featuring difficult surf breaks.

Activities:	Surfing, casinos & sports bars. Most tours operate out of Tamarindo.

Restaurants:	Limited dining options, mostly high end. Try the fresh sushi at Cala Luna or international cuisne at Taboo. Many more restaurants and bars in nearby Tamarindo.

How to Get There:	Exit Playa Grande towards Matapalo and take a right in Matapalo (just past the bridge). Follow this road for about 5-8 minutes until you come to Huacas, take a right at the crossroads (you will see signs for Tamarindo). Follow this road for about 8-10 minutes and take another right in the town of Villarreal. Tamarindo is about 4 kilometers ahead on this road. Just before the main road into town ends take a left turn up the dirt road and make a right at the first intersection. Follow this road for a few minutes and you will see signs for various hotels.
